  Be warned the fresh produce at this Coles is TERRIBLE. I've bought fruit and veg home only to find that it is mouldy and bread I've bought has been out of date. If this outlet wasn't directly across the road from my house, I would never go there..

  Coles East Victoria Park WA is a benchmark level branch. Quality produce, always in stock, helpful courteous and efficient staff.

  Never go in rush hour. Crowded, customers angry... Small wollies in Vic Park central ... Way better.

  I've used this Coles for 16 years and that speaks for itself. The staff are always helpful and friendly. In particular, I've noticed time and again that some of the ladies who have worked there for many years go above and beyond their terms of employment with regard to the more elderly customers. Their kindness and patience is heart-warming and I don't mind how long I have to wait in line. I've seen customers pay the bill for some senior shoppers and one day I'm sure I'll do the same if the occasion presents itself. My only grievance concerns a frustrating lack of foresight when it comes to ordering stock. When one line is obviously more popular, it would make sense to order more of that and less of the other lines. Just off the top of my head, my favourite ice cream disappeared the other day, replaced by long rows of other tubs I didn't want. Frozen Creative Gourmet blueberries are more popular than other berries, yet they often disappear. I want what I want, not what Coles wants me to want. I'd rather go elsewhere, and I do, but it's very frustrating when you've just nipped out for something and it becomes a hassle. And avoidable, if only Coles would get their ordering in line with demand. Also, I like choice, and I've found Coles own brands are mostly inferior to others. I don't like being forced to have Coles' brands and will generally buy elsewhere. So no 5 stars but definitely 4, maybe even 4 1/2.
